According to the bible, before Jesus finally parted with his disciples, he assured them that he would send down a helper, whose role would be to remind them of what he had taught them, among others. That helper would be the holy spirit, who would come in various forms in the different situations of our lives, whether as ideas in the mind, another person, a thing or situation, all of which are parts of the wholeness of existence – our holiness.
Each aspect of this spirit would remind us of who we truly are. Every human being continues to play this role in some in their interactions with others. Many people have played this role at different times in my life, while I also assume it in my relationships with many others. In that way, I refer to myself as a “Reminder” of others of who they truly are in relation to the circumstances of their lives, and to inspire them to be as they should and to live in accord with the primary purpose of their lives – peace. Assuming the role of a Reminder is how I restate my intention to serve others in pointing them to the power that is already within them, and as I have already mentioned, it is a role I share with everyone and every aspect of creation.

Many people have played this role at different times in my life, while I also assume it in my relationships with many others. In that way, I refer to myself as a “Reminder” of others of who they truly are in relation to the reast of existence, and to inspire them to be as they should and to live in accord with the purpose of their creation. Reminding is of the mind, and for that reason is a spiritual service. The entirety of each person’s life is made up of situations. All of us pursue the happiness of life in these situations, the way we do when we establish a hobby, a career, get married, heal from illness or relating with others. Wholistic Life Service serves to inspire one to do well in every aspect of their lives by seeking to heal the primary participant in these situations, the self, and helping one to enjoy life beyond the limitations they may perceive in any specific area of their lives.
Goitsemang’s wholistic reminder approach seeks to firstly restore one’s perceptions of themselves to who they naturally are before their identity was narrowed down by socialisation and habits into becoming an ego. The premise of this approach is that a human being has themselves – the mind and body – as an instrument for living in the world, and how we regard ourselves determines how we regard the environment around us and the possibilities or limitations we perceive in it. As a result, the primary focus for this method is to correct one’s perceptions of themselves, and to help one to see the many ways in which life already helps them to live up to their purpose in it.
Goitsemang does not aim to teach anything new but only to remind one of their true identity and reality, and the results can only be verified within the person themselves by the amount of peace that comes with remembering themselves; a knowledge that is ever present within each one of us, and which any aspect of life may help us to remember in a variety of ways. The reminder service is based on acceptance and not resistance. It does not intend to convert anyone to anything else, but to help them accept that their situation is the right one through which they may find the peace they are in need of. In that way, one may begin to find peace even in places where it may not be expected to exist.
I remind every human being of their primary purpose in life, and the means they have at their disposal to realise it. I remind those who care for those with infirmities, of who they are themselves and who it is they are caring for; I reminds parents of who their children are; seekers of the truth, of the truth they are seeking; lovers in a relationship of the purpose of their relationship; the ‘disabled’ people of their abilities; the unhappy people of their happiness. I remind everyone of the truth of their current situation, and how it fits in with the totality of life, and their part in it.
It should be noted that even though the title of this service may have religious origins, its function perceives each person beyond the limitations of religion, race, creed, or a life situation, and focuses only on those aspects that make us human and one with each other. This service happens through direct conversation with a person, or indirectly through the people surrounding them.
The power and ultimate peace of mind that comes with realising that we are more than any specific situation in our lives.
Preferably anywhere outside of the environment that one is used to. This is based on the fact that changing our physical arrangement exposes us to more ways of perceiving ourselves and can help to change how we regard our circumstances.
Their willingness to heal themselves. Healing in this case is not an immediate physical cure, but a change of mind that enhances our state of being in our situation. This comes by way of accepting whatever limiting view we have of ourselves and being willing to embrace more of who we are and beginning to see the variety of empowering possibilities at our disposal. The willingness to be involved in finding a solution to our problem is key and is a core consideration for any sustainable resolution to a problem. It is only when one has the sincerity to be willing to identify a problem and understand how they contribute to creating it that a suitable environment for resolving it is created. In that way, they would take the necessary responsibility of implementing their most empowering solution, accepting the fact that they are the closest to their problem and the best placed to resolve it.
